| Faure | Suite 'Dolly' orch. Henri Rabaud |
| Debussy | Trois Nocturnes |
| Durufle | Requiem |
Three French classics: the Fauré originally for piano duet and a perennial favourite. Debussy’s Nocturnes are musical impressions of clouds, festivals and sirens (mythological seductresses who lured sailors to an untimely death, depicted here by a wordless ladies chorus). Finally Duruflé’s Requiem; an exquisite work by a master French organist whose compositions though small are invariably masterpieces: the Requiem is being played in its original version for large orchestra and organ.
